Ranger Bay Boat - Inshore / Near shore

Fishing license is included on the Ranger Bay Boat. Add $50 for each additional person over 3. Bald Head Island pick up is $50 extra and is inshore fishing in the calm, hard to reach back bays.

18' Maverick HPX Flats Boat - Inshore

(This is shallow water inshore fishing in the calm bays and creeks with spinning or fly gear. 2 people MAX.)

Additional Services

*Fly casting and instruction: $500

Polish those skills or develop the ones you must have to be successful on the water. Includes ½ day on land, ½ day on boat. Anyone can do it on land…learn to do it where it counts….on the boat! (Reference materials and a few fly’s are included.)

　*Fly tying and instruction: $60 per hour.

Learn to tie those custom flies you see all the guides using and find out these ones that work best. If your not throwing the right stuff…what’s the use? (includes materials and you keep the flies)

Learn to build your own custom fishing rod: $500 full day.

I will teach you the in’s and out’s of custom rod building and get you on the path to making your own rods yourself. (includes materials and you keep your rod that we build. This is for an inshore spinning or bait casting rod.) ** We can build any rod you like from 5 wt fly rod, to 130lb off shore bent butt marlin rods, and everything in between. Price varies, call for price.

Fishing and boat handling instruction on your boat: $50 per hour.

Learn what the pros know….navigating safely, learn the area, rig your boat for fishing, advise you on whats needed to be successful on the water etc.

Available to conduct seminars to your fishing club or corporate event on any fishing related topic. (except gulfstream) Learn before you go. Learn the tricks and tips to take your fishing to the next level.

Tips: Although tipping is not required, Captain Matt works very hard to insure you have an excellent fishing day. With that said; judge the quality of your trip, whether with Reel Adventure Fishing Charters or another charter boat service, by how hard the guide works for you. Most of the time, we can perform our magic. However, sometimes no matter how hard a Captain works, he cannot get the fish to cooperate. If your guide worked hard was courteous, took the time to teach you, and the charter was enjoyable, then by all means it is proper to leave him a gratuity of 10% to 15%. Some clients do not tip simply because they do not know it is accepted practice in the charter industry to tip the Captain, or in some cases the Mate. This is why we choose to mention the tipping standards here.
